God’s Amazing Plans
In August of 2005, Rachel of Catoosa, Oklahoma, and Sarah of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, headed to Lubbock, Texas to begin the AIM (Adventures in Missions) program. AIM is designed to prepare young people to teach the gospel on a mission field. After 8 months of training in Lubbock, the students are sent to a field for at least 14 months to serve as an apprentice missionary. Little did Rachel and Sarah know the common bond they shared when they entered AIM.
The girls hardly knew each other when they went to Lubbock, but in December, the girls both learned that they both were being sent to Durres, Albania with 2 other girls. One evening the subject of adoption came up and the girls both shared that each of them had been adopted. Upon more discussion they discovered that both of them had been adopted from Colorado Christian Services 18 years ago. The excitement was overwhelming to realize what God had done with 2 baby girls. Who would have imagined that these girls’ paths would cross doing mission work on the same field now 19 years later?
On May 17, Rachel and Sarah left for Durres, Albania where they will be serving with Ray and Shelly Wheeler teaching the gospel. Praise God for the awesome plans. He has for the babies of Colorado Christian Services.
