John and Sara

Thank you so much for reading a little about us! We are John and Sara, and we are so excited to be at this point in our adoption journey. We imagine that our journey, while difficult, has been nothing compared to what you are going through.

We both came from strong Christian families who believe in the importance of the family unit. We are thrilled at the prospect of becoming parents and starting our family through adoption, and we cannot wait to experience all the gifts a child brings throughout all stages of their life. We believe strongly in the beauty and strength of a Christian home, and we will provide that stability, comfort, and love to our children. Our marriage is built on teamwork – our devotion and commitment to each other is complete, and we love to just spend time with each other.

As we look forward to growing our family, we also look forward to developing a relationship with you in whatever way you feel is most appropriate. We are honored and so grateful that you consider us worthy to parent your child, and we want our child – yours and ours – to know as much about you as you are comfortable with as he or she grows up. You are a critical part of our child’s history, and it is important to us that the child is made aware of that – from the beginning. Please know that we are open to making this relationship into whatever is the most comfortable for you.

John is a funny, strong, caring man who cares deeply about family and who gives his all to every project he works on. John is a project manager for a mechanical contractor. He works close to home, so we look forward to family lunch time. He loves to work on our house and yard, and he can usually be found with a shovel or hammer in hand on Saturdays. He also loves to golf and fish, and after moving to Colorado from Indiana, he was glad to see that he could still catch some Chicago Cubs’ games on TV.  He is going to be an incredible dad because he is so patient with kids and has the biggest heart.

Sara is caring, understanding, and always willing to do what she can to help others. For her, family is also important – and BIG (she has over 50 first cousins!). She too enjoys working outside in the summer, and she loves football season. She started skiing at age 6 in Minnesota and is hoping to convince John that once he doesn’t fall as much, it’s really a good time.  Sara is so excited to be a mom!! John teases her about how quickly she gravitates to the little ones in a room ‐ babies always have a place to rest in her arms. Sara is a civil engineer and manages projects that involve building roads and bridges. She has a very flexible schedule and plans to work just 4 days a week once the baby arrives. We fill our spare time with friends and family. We love to travel and can’t wait to start taking family vacations! We both grew up in families who loved family “road trips”, and we are excited to show our child the beauty of this world we live in!

We know that God has a plan for you and for us, and we have found peace in our belief that a precious baby will be sent our way when He feels that the time is right.
