Alex and Renae

Dear Birth Parent(s):

Hi! We are Alex and Renae and we are very thankful you’re considering adoption for your baby. We’ve been praying for you for a very long time.

Blessed with over eight loving years of marriage, we have always wanted a family of our own.  After several years of trying to conceive, we feel adoption is God’s plan for us.  These years have truly strengthened our marriage and made us best friends.  We feel that an open adoption is the best plan for our family – welcoming you and your baby into our lives.

Family is very important to both of us.  Getting together regularly with our family is part of our lives.  Renae’s family lives close by and we often attend dinners and holidays as one large family.  We always have enough food to feed an army, and Renae’s family is about that large!  We also travel to visit Alex’s family in Chicago and Philadelphia as much as possible. Our parents are looking forward to another grandchild very soon!
We have two other members of our family – Max & Shasta, our cats.  Shasta is the lady of the house, keeping Max in line.  She also loves to chase yarn and toys around the house and is extremely playful.  Max enjoys showing his love by cuddling up next to you.  He is very social and even likes to play cards during game nights!

One of the things we enjoy most is going to the movies. (We also like the popcorn!)  In the summer, we love to barbecue on our patio and try new hiking trails.  We also enjoy spending time with our long-time friends.  Our two-story, three-bedroom home is in a quiet neighborhood and has lots of room to grow and play.  We love to visit the nearby parks, museums and zoo.

Apart from Alex’s day job, his true passion is for music!  He writes his own songs and loves to sing.  He loves to play the drums and piano, and also serves as the director of our church's choir.  He is also a ridiculously HUGE Star Wars fan!  From blogs to action figures, Alex is your go-to source for anything Star Wars.  He is looking forward to being a daddy.  While growing up, Alex’s dad taught him about the little things about life – like the different types of planes in the sky, or the names of insects and trees.  Alex is looking forward to sharing these things with our child one day.  He can’t wait to take our child hiking, fishing and camping – taking full advantage of the beautiful parks and lakes Colorado has to offer.

Renae remembers spending time with her mom in the kitchen and loves to cook.  Her latest challenge is to use a new recipe each time she cooks!  She is looking forward to becoming a mommy and being able to teach our child their way around the kitchen.  Renae also enjoys gardening and planting.  She is the truly the happiest when in the garden on a nice summer day!  Renae teaches preschool and kindergarten Sunday school and is a Youth Group leader at our church.  She lights up when given the opportunity to be with the children and teach them God's word.

We are thankful that you are considering us as parents for your child.  We both are looking forward to giving this child a heapin’ helpin’ of love!  They will know their adoption story from the very beginning, and they also will know how much you love them.  We want nothing less than to give our child the greatest, happiest and most successful of lives.  We're committed to raising this child to have a strong faith in God, and to acknowledge all the blessings that daily come from Him.  We will continue to pray for you and your decision.
